Thanks again for taking the time to view our website.  Our site is ever changing.  We do our best to answer some of the most frequently asked questions here.

What is BHRT?

BHRT stands for Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy.  This is the best method of dealing with the ever changing female body.  By replacing hormones lost during menopause with molecularly identical hormones, women see marked improvements in there hormonal symptoms. 

BHRT can reduce annoying hot flashes, improve clarity of thought, and increase your overall sense of wellbeing.

Will Refined Balance take care of all my gynecologic and primary healthcare needs?

No - Refined Balance will devote the entire time with you balancing your hormones.  You may see Dr. Morris in her Gyn practice, or your primary care physician for your other needs.  We will want copies of current pap smears, bone densities, laboratory results, etc. in order to properly integrate your hormone balance into your total healthcare needs.

What is OON?

This stands for Out Of Network.  Refined Balance has no contracts with insurance companies; in other words we are Out Of (the insurance) Network.  This means you will be responsible for a larger percentage of your bill. 

What forms of payment are accepted?

We accept most forms of payment.  We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, Check or Debit Cards.   

All fees are due at the time of service.  If you contact us BEFORE your appointment, we will work with you and make payment arrangements - as needed.  (All payment plans must be secured with a credit card.)

What about my insurance?

Refined Balance is not able to bill insurance companies.  We will however, provide you with all the necessary paperwork for the patient to file for reimbursement.  Contact your insurance company for specifics on how to file a Patient Claim.

Will you still see patients who are covered by Medicare?

Yes - however since Refined Balance is not participating in the Medicare System the entire bill will be your responsibility.  We are not allowed to file any claims with Medicare, nor will the patient be able to file claims with Medicare for reimbursement.  MediGap insurances may not be billed either.
